I’m 21 and have just started working at Keymer childcare as a trainee on the 12th of January 2022. I’m enjoying working here and fitting in well. Before working here I enjoyed the company of children and helped them learn and play. I have fun with children and involve myself with the children playing to build a better relationship with them and assist in their learning. I’m currently completing my Certificate lll in early childhood education and care and plan to complete the Diploma and ECT. I play netball on the weekends and have just finished the oztag season. I live with my parents and older brother, my mum also works at the centre. I enjoy playing sports and staying active like going for walks with my dogs, I also like going for drives with my family and seeing different sights. I enjoy going on holiday as everyone does and can’t wait to go on another cruise. I’ve recently been to Uluru on the Easter break and loved it. I’ve also been to Hawaii and other islands like Fiji and more. I want to continue to see the world with my family and friends. I have only just started but am enjoying my job and love building friendly relationships with the children and staff.
I attended University and received a Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) qualification. I have been working at Keymer Child Care Centre for 28 years. I have seen a lot of changes in that time, both in the childcare industry, and at Keymer itself. I have worked predominantly in the 3-5 year old’s rooms. I am really enjoying working with this age group. I love to see all of the children develop, learn and experience something new each day. It’s beautiful to watch children grow emotionally and socially and make friends.
On a personal note, I have three sons, aged 20, 18 and 14. I enjoy spending my weekends going to their soccer games, and listening to them practise piano and driving them back and forth to martial arts classes! I like listening to music, 80’s is the best, and going to concerts. I am a footy fan, the Parramatta Eels are my team. I love the atmosphere of being at a game. I also like gardening when I have a spare minute. It’s very therapeutic. I am also interested in photography, but don’t have the time to do as much as I used to.
Please feel free to speak to me or any of our staff if you have any ideas to share, or questions about our service or your child’s development.
I’m a TAFE and University-trained Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) who has been teaching at Keymer since February 2018.
While most of this time has been spent teaching in the Kangaroos Room: preparing our eldest group for BIG School. This year has seen me teaching in the Possums Room: supporting our youngest group to progress towards their early developmental milestones.
To reach and achieve these milestones: I believe a play-based approach is essential – allowing children to watch, imitate, participate in, and socialise with others as they explore, create, imagine, and navigate their world.
I have been here at Keymer CCC for just over 15 years. I hold an Associate Diploma in Social Science (Children’s Studies). I have worked in every room here at Keymer with all the different age groups and have also worked in the Inclusion Support position which I loved. I am currently working in the Possum room; my passion is working with children especially those who need a little extra help and support and watching them grow and achieve their goals.
I am Diploma Trained and qualified cook. I have been at Keymer for over 20 years and enjoy watching the children at the centre grow

I cam to work in childcare after 18 years as a signwriter and was approaching an age where climbing/hanging off buildings, carrying ladders and the weather were taking a toll
